Penny’s Pooch Palace offers professional one-to-one dog grooming for clients from Virginia Water and surrounding parts of Surrey. Each appointment takes place in a comfortable home salon where your dog receives individual care from the beginning of the groom until collection.

With no crates and no multiple dogs waiting in the salon, the environment is quieter than a traditional high-volume grooming business. This approach can help make appointments more comfortable for puppies, nervous dogs, senior pets and dogs that prefer additional personal space.

Grooming Based on Individual Needs

Every dog arrives with a different coat, grooming history and personality. Before the groom begins, Penny can discuss your preferred style, the condition of your dog’s coat and any health or behavioural information that may affect the appointment.

A full groom can include bathing with suitable shampoos, blow-drying, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleansing, pad and hygiene trimming, coat cutting and styling. Bath and dry appointments are also available for dogs that need freshening up without a complete haircut.

Additional services include de-shedding for suitable double-coated breeds, hand stripping for wire-coated dogs, interim tidy-ups, nail trimming and sonic teeth cleaning.

Supporting Puppies and Nervous Dogs

Introducing grooming gradually can help puppies become more confident around clippers, dryers, brushes and handling. Puppy introduction appointments give younger dogs an opportunity to experience the salon without immediately completing a lengthy full groom.

Penny also works patiently with nervous and less confident dogs. Praise, reassurance and positive reinforcement are used throughout the appointment, while each stage is adapted wherever reasonably possible to support the dog’s welfare.

Penny’s Pooch Palace is based in Ashford, Surrey, and welcomes dog owners travelling from Virginia Water. If you are searching for a caring dog groomer who provides patient handling and individual attention, contact Penny to discuss your dog’s requirements and arrange an appointment.
