Quality pet care is not only about feeding, exercise and veterinary appointments. Regular grooming also plays an important role in keeping dogs clean, comfortable and easier to maintain at home.

Penny’s Pooch Palace provides professional one-to-one dog grooming for clients from West London and surrounding Surrey locations. The service takes place in a welcoming home salon in Ashford, where every dog receives Penny’s full attention.

Penny’s Pooch Palace specialises specifically in grooming rather than boarding, daycare or veterinary treatment.

Personal Care for Every Dog

No two dogs have exactly the same needs. Penny considers each dog’s breed, age, health, coat condition, grooming history and temperament before the appointment begins.

Owners can discuss their preferred styling and provide details about any medical conditions, sensitivities or behavioural concerns. This information helps Penny adapt the grooming process wherever reasonably possible.

The salon does not use crates or accommodate groups of dogs at the same time. This creates a quieter setting that may be more comfortable for puppies, senior pets, nervous dogs and dogs that dislike busy environments.

Grooming as Part of Responsible Pet Care

Regular grooming can help prevent knots, remove loose undercoat and keep the areas around the paws, ears and hygiene areas tidy.

Services include full grooms, bath and dry appointments, de-shedding, hand stripping, interim tidy-ups, puppy introductions and nail trimming. Emmi-Pet sonic teeth cleaning is also available to support canine oral hygiene.

A full groom can include bathing with suitable shampoos, blow-drying, brushing, nail and ear care, pad and hygiene trimming, coat cutting and styling.

Patient handling, praise and positive reinforcement are used throughout each appointment. The objective is to care for the coat while also making the experience as comfortable and positive as possible.
